  Diamondback is a dynamic group of talented musicians from South Louisiana offering a variety of musical styles to suit just about any audience- oldies, swamp pop, country, rhythm & blues, dance, funk, classic rock, modern  rock, etc. Each member has expertise in a particular style of music, making this band's sound unique.  Formed as "The Acadiana Showband" in 2001, led by guitarist and vocalist Bill Boudreaux, the group was playing GIGS in New Iberia, Lafayette and the Morgan City areas. After a few personnel changes, Bill was joined by Nelson Boudreaux on drums and vocals. { yes, Bill and Nelson are really brothers, and  Kirk Romero  on the bass, and the sound, and the lights, and vocals. The chemistry and potential was noticed immediately, by both the band members and their audiences. These members have been working together since 2004. Diamondback continues to win over new fans everywhere the band performs. Whats new for 2008, it's Colby Boureaux  at just 15 years old he has taken all his influenceses such as jamie b. and the kickin' kajuns, damon troy, wayne toups, travis matte, geno delafonse and terry and the zydeco bad boys, put them all together to complete this ultimate in varitey music.

Bill is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana, where he bought his first guitar at age 14.  By the age of 16, he was playing at local teen dances and recreation centers.  Early influences were groups such as the Beatles, Dave Clark Five, Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, Jimi Hendrix, CCR, and the Allman Brothers Band. Over the years, Bill has opened for groups such as Steve Holy, The Dazz Band, A Flock A Seagulls, Billy “Crash” Craddock, Lee Greenwood, Damon Troy, Wayne Toupes, John Wesly Ryles, T. G. Sheppard, Clarence “Frogman” Henry.  He has also performed with artists such as G. G. Shinn, Warren Storm, KeKe Bourque, Steve Grisaffe, Rod Bernard, Dale and Grace, and Skip Stewart.  Bill has also performed with local groups such as Acadiana Show Band, Louisiana Red, The Bad Boys, Second Chance, Sonny Bourg and the Bayou Blues Band, and The Fifth Edition. Bill has also done work with many other local groups as a fill-in musician and vocalist.

Nelson has been playing drums since the age of  12. He was born and raised in New Iberia and got his start playing in his high  school marching band. He likes all types of music, ranging from Country to Rap, Rock to Blues and everything in between. In the mid 80's, he formed a rap group called The Berry Boys, who opened up for groups such as, Two Live Crew and MC ADE. Then went on to play with a local country group called Country Cruise.  After  a 13 year break from music, he couldn't stay away any longer. He says that music is his way to deal with the everyday stresses in life. He then joined a group called The Acadiana Show Band, which was later renamed Diamondback after a few member changes. Nelson or Nelly Ice as we  like to call him is one of the most talented drummer /singers you will ever hear, He is also the only drummer that can sing rap or funk and play drums at the same time. We must multitaskers , by nature. He says it'll be  time to quit when the wheelchair won't fit behind the kit.

Kirk can definitely be called the groove master. His unique style of bass playing can be credited to the many different types of bands he's been with. Years ago, he played with a band called Country Cruise, Band of Gold, Keith Segura  and the  Pepper Grass Band, and Thunder Road.  After a break he joined  Tin Pan Alley in which  he rock the nite club scene for almost 6 year's. Kirk finally decided to make a career change he could not fight the zydeco beat  so he joined  up with Chance Gonzales and KeKe Bourque and Cajun Feel was born, a new wave of groove  in the Cajun/Zydeco era was formed but short lived only a year after joining Cajun Feel ,Kirk's son Cordel  is killed in a automoblie accident. the effect was devastating to him , his family, an his band. After  some time  off,  Kirk was ready to play agin Joined up with life long music buddy Nelson Boudreaux an older brother Bill Today, he combines all of his styles to become a complete bassist , sound man, light man , and  vocalist's.
